About Men's Performance Hub

Who writes this

My name is Marcus Halden. I hold an MSc in Exercise Physiology and spent eight years as a strength coach before I started writing about men’s performance full-time. Most of what you’ll read here started as answers to questions my clients kept asking — things their doctors brushed off, or things they were too embarrassed to bring up in the first place.

I’m not a doctor. I’ll never pretend to be one. What I am is someone who has spent an unreasonable amount of time in PubMed figuring out which claims hold up and which ones don’t.

How I research a topic

Before I write anything, I look for at least one meta-analysis or systematic review on the specific claim. If there isn’t one, I fall back to the best RCTs I can find and I’ll tell you what the evidence quality looks like. Every article cites its sources inline. If I get something wrong, email me and I’ll fix it — I keep a revision log on every piece.

What this site is not

It’s not a supplement-store in disguise. I don’t take affiliate money from the supplement brands I review. The reason I can say “most male performance supplements don’t work” in the supplements section is because nobody pays me to say otherwise.

Medical note

Nothing here replaces a conversation with your doctor. If something below the belt has changed recently, that’s a vascular system talking — go see a real physician. Articles on this site exist to help you ask better questions, not to diagnose you.
